1967 Jaguar – Paint Correction + Opticoat

1967 Jaguar Refined

Today’s Detail was a blast from the past. A 3.8l 1967 Jaguar. This one has been fully restored, but over time developed a great deal of swirling and general scratches. We managed to do a 90% paint correction of the scratches, I had to be careful as there were a lot of little nibs in the paint. The finish however came up really well however and very pleased with the result. We then topped it off with a layer of Opticoat to lock in and enhance the shine and reduce the likelihood of the swirls returning. All up about 6 hours of buffing with my new Rupes LHR15. Am loving the ease of use and balance. The results are outstanding.
